Karen IT is looking for a motivated and curious Cybersecurity & Threat Intelligence Intern to join our team in the UAE.
This internship is designed for a university student who wants to gain practical experience in cybersecurity, security research, and threat intelligence while working alongside an experienced cybersecurity team.
You will support our team with security research, OSINT investigations, threat analysis, and other cybersecurity-related activities. This is a hands-on opportunity to build real-world experience and develop your professional cybersecurity career.
Responsibilities
Assist with cybersecurity investigations and security research.
Conduct OSINT research and collect information from publicly available sources.
Investigate suspicious domains, URLs, IP addresses, and other digital indicators.
Assist with the analysis and documentation of security incidents.
Collect, organize, and analyze cybersecurity-related data.
Support threat intelligence and security research activities.
Prepare clear documentation and reports based on research findings.
Assist with developing scripts and tools for security research and automation.
Work collaboratively with the cybersecurity team on assigned projects.
Requirements
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Strong interest in cybersecurity and security research.
Good programming and scripting skills, with Python as a required skill.
Familiarity with APIs, JSON, Git/GitHub, and basic automation is preferred.
Familiarity with OSINT concepts, tools, and methodologies.
Good understanding of basic computer networking and cybersecurity concepts.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
Good interpersonal and teamwork skills.
Ability to learn quickly and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Arabic language skills are a plus.

Professional cybersecurity experience is not required. We value practical skills, curiosity, initiative, and the ability to learn just as much as formal qualifications.
Compensation & Internship Details
Attractive, market-benchmarked salary, prorated based on the internship duration and working hours.
6-month internship.
20–24 hours per week.
Hybrid work arrangement in the UAE.
Official internship completion certificate upon successful completion of the internship, which can be submitted to your university where applicable.
